Scene 1: Having your Party in the Back Room of a Restaurant...
Act 1: Characters: Sarah: A stressed party planner; Narrator: The voice of reason

Scene opens with Sarah frantically adjusting a wilting balloon in a cramped restaurant backroom. The room is dimly lit, and the smell of stale beer hangs in the air. Murmurs and laughter from the main dining area filter through the thin partition. A waiter rushes through, carrying a stack of dirty dishes.

Narrator: So, you’re planning an important event...

A baby shower, a birthday, perhaps a gathering to celebrate a life-well-lived... You’ve chosen a “rented hall with blank walls” or the "backroom of a restaurant" where locals hang out, thinking it would be easy and less expensive. But is “easy” and “cheap” really what you want? (Sarah sighs, wiping her brow.)

Sarah: (muttering) The restaurant is jammed-packed busy. The DJ’s equipment keeps shorting out; and I swear, every time someone goes to the restroom, they bump into the gift table.

Narrator: You’ve been relegated to the backroom, near the restrooms, the kitchen, the busing station; sharing your intimate celebration with the restaurant’s regular diners... Who are you trying to impress?.. Your new mother-in-law?.. Your new daughter in-law?.. Their friends and family?..

(Cut to a montage of awkward moments: A random restaurant patron walks through the party with a doggy bag; a child from another table wanders in, grabs a cupcake; the DJ’s play list is clashing with restaurant’s music.)

Narrator: A restaurant backroom is, ok? But is it impressive?

Narrator: Now... Imagine this...

(Cut to a sweeping shot of the Island View. Sunlight streams through large windows overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. The room is elegantly decorated, spacious and filled with laughter. Sarah, now relaxed and smiling, greets her guests.)

Act 2: The Island View...

An entire private restaurant, exclusively yours; overlooking the breath-taking Chesapeake Bay. No shared walls, no unwanted guests, no distractions. (Sarah raises a glass of champagne) CHEERS!

Sarah: Cheers! To my Future Daughter-in-Law!

(Your guests are impressed… The View is stunning, the atmosphere is warm, personal and celebratory. Congratulations Sarah! Success!!

Narrator: At the Island View, It’s just you, your guests and family. Only people you invite, in a space designed for your celebration. Public guests won’t be enjoying your private and personal party.

(Cut back to the restaurant backroom. The party is winding down, guest looking deflated. A spilled drink stains the carpet. Skip the backroom, elevate your celebration at the Island View)

Think it’s expensive to rent The Island View?

Think again. Consider the value of privacy, the impressed guest and the value of creating truly lasting memories.
