Island View Waterfront is a family-owned wedding and event venue with seasonal kayak rentals and a front-row seat to the Chesapeake Bay.

We’re building a reliable, upbeat team to help us deliver great experiences all season long—whether it’s welcoming a couple on their wedding day, setting someone up for a paddle, or serving drinks at a sunset party.

If you’re hardworking, friendly, and love the idea of spending your days by the water, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re currently hiring for:

This is a great entry-level position for someone who loves being outdoors, working with people, and isn’t afraid to get their feet wet (literally). You’ll help with setting up gear, getting guests on and off the water safely, answering questions, and keeping things running smoothly on busy days. No prior experience needed — just a good attitude, willingness to learn, and a solid work ethic.

Starting at $15/hour
Entry-level role with flexible hours,

great for high school or college students looking to work outdoors and learn the ropes.

Kayak Lead (Age 21+)

This is a leadership role for someone who can confidently oversee daily operations, support the crew, and make sure guests have a safe, smooth experience. You’ll be in charge of opening and closing, safety checks, managing equipment, and stepping in wherever needed — whether that’s guiding a new paddler or helping the crew hustle through a rush.

Until we grow our team, the Kayak Lead may also help with food and drink service (think: pre-packed snacks, cold drinks, probably even a beer or two on busy days). If you're someone who can wear a few hats, stay calm under pressure, and enjoy the view while doing it — this role might be for you.

Starting at $18–$20/hour depending on experience

This leadership role is ideal for someone who can take charge, stay cool under pressure, and help guests have a safe, smooth time on the water.

It’s a great fit for someone with customer service, paddling, or hospitality experience — and especially perfect for teachers or educators looking for a meaningful (and fun!) way to spend their summer outside.
